Artist Statement
Having my hands in clay is bliss—my first true love.
The clay falls away, revealing the truth of the moment.
Just as in life and nature, my work can be
delicate and fragile; other times,
it’s whimsical and free, and still,
in other moments, there are twists, turns,
caverns, depths, and spirals
that are dramatic, wanting some explanation.
The Now. Pushing itself in front of me.

The dance in clay.
Forever flowing, changing…
it’s a way of embracing my life,
essence, and truth.
